Weekend Workshop example below - a "special" session can be designed around you and your group! This is an introductory class, and will focus on the sculptural possibilities of hand building vessels. We will cover different hand building techniques and include a wheel demonstration. No experience expected. ALL welcome. COST: J $8000 (US $100) This session runs over one weekend for making and an optional follow up on the following Saturday for glazing. PINTO'S studio at Good Hope is about 15 minutes in the hills above Falmouth. The studio will be open from 10am-4pm. Everyone is welcome for the whole day on the first weekend. - focus on HAND BUILDING moving through a range of different forming techniques
SUNDAY , 10am-2pm (lunch break @ noon)
- finish your pieces from the previous day. This includes handles for mugs and jugs, trimming bowls, carving and decoration with slips [coloured clays]
- wheel demonstration-you are welcome to try after finishing all the pieces you would like fired
SATURDAY, June 28th 10am-12pm - introduction to glazes and glazing.[please be on time]

Those with more experience who would like to work on their own are welcome, but please make special arrangements to discuss your focus beforehand and to come early - so that we can work before class on more advanced ideas and techniques before others arrive... interested teenagers also welcome.
We will supply all clay, tools, instruction, glaze, firing* and delivery of finished work to one central place in mo bay... [a home/business]
I suggest a pot luck lunch and some snacks. Once we have the list of students signed up, we can coordinate details.
Please spread the word for me. ~David... 886 2866 *FIRING - what I expect a beginner to make (about 300 cubic inches of kiln space) is included in the cost- that's about 6-10 small pieces. More advanced potters, or those who choose to make larger pieces, will be charged additional firing and materials cost calculated at J$2.2 per cubic inch of work over volume above.
